Founded in 2014 by two industry insiders, alex doll AND MARK HATFIELD, Ten eleven is wholly dedicated to providing high-value, cyber-focused counsel, capital and connections to brilliant security entrepreneurs. Ten Eleven Ventures (or as we like to abbreviate, “1011vc”) works on multiple levels: it references the binary digits (0s and 1s) that underpin all of digital technology and it nods to the mathematical foundations of cryptography, since 1011 as an integer factors into two primes (337 × 3), and prime numbers serve as fundamental "building blocks" of modern encryption. On a more personal note, the firm closed its first fund on October 11th (10/11) -- which is also founder Alex Doll's grandfather's birthday.
